Zach Seeger embraces sport as his subject matter in his vibrant and striking compositions. Foregrounding the relationship between athletics and human condition, Seeger demonstrates the deep psychological levels to sport. His works isolate moments of peak athletic achievement – appreciating the elegance and diligence within these calculated movements.

Seeger received a BFA in Painting from Binghamton University and an MFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). His work has been shown at Gold Gallery, New Jersey; Room 482, Brooklyn; Arts & Leisure Gallery, New York; Public Address, Brooklyn; This Friday or Next Friday, Brooklyn; Rhode Island School of Design Memorial Hall Gallery, Providence. His residencies and awards include: Collarworks: Flatfile Program, New York (2020); Meeting House AIR, New York (2019); GROUNDWORK III, New York (2015); Vermont Studio Center, Vermont (2009); and NYSCA Grant (2004).
